A Go-To Maritime And
Admiralty Law Firm
At the Crew Law Firm in League City, we primarily handle maritime and admiralty law cases. This is not something we merely do on the side. Although we often take other cases involving catastrophic injuries or deaths, we spend most of our time working to protect the rights of people who work on the water, and that shows through in our record of success in these complex cases. We have become a go-to law firm in maritime and admiralty law cases, not just throughout Texas but nationwide. Cases are frequently referred to us by our fellow lawyers who trust our knowledge and skill when it comes to water-based claims.
Our law firm was founded by attorney Paxton Crew, a seventh-generation Texan who has a personal stake in maritime and admiralty law cases. He currently has family members engaged as ship pilots. Growing up in Orange, Texas, he was raised by a single working mother who worked for a well known inland push boat company. His grandfather worked in the shipyards in Orange and ultimately died to mesothelioma caused from asbestos exposure there, and his uncle was similarly injured working on an offshore platform. He knows firsthand the hardships faced by marine workers and the many obstacles placed before them when they become injured or their company has failed them.
Prior to establishing the Crew Law Firm, Paxton worked for one of the Gulf Coast’s most well respected maritime defense firms where he personally handled multi-million dollar property damage and personal injury claims from case on intake, through trial or settlement and has argued cases before the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. He has created course materials for local universities, presented seminars to his peers on topics such as maritime collisions, accident response and investigations, legal aspects affecting mariners, U.S. Coast Guard investigations and the availability of punitive damages, and handled precedent-setting cases.
He is a member of the Southeast Admiralty Law Institute
